Sport Italia understands Napoli are poised to complete the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Dario Brindicci in the next 24 hours, with the move due to be finalised by Monday.
The Italian giants have made a strong bid for Brindico, who has been linked with a return to Milan, and have made an enquiry about a new deal with the Nerazzurri, but are yet to reach an agreement.
Sources close to the deal have told Sport Itale that Napoli and Inter are set to finalise a deal, and it will be the first step in securing Brindici’s signature, as he moves from Inter to Napoli.
Sources also believe the Bianconeri will be able to offer him a new contract worth up to €7m per year, with Napoli likely to pay around €8m.
Benedetto, 27, joined Napoli from Torino in 2015, and made 19 Serie A appearances for the Nerazioni.
He made one start for Italy in their opening game against Colombia on Friday.
He is one of Italy’s most talented young talents and is tipped to be one of the best midfielders in the country.
