NFL advertising and sales representatives are in a tough spot, but that’s exactly what the NFL is doing when it comes to its Super Bowl advertising deal with Discord.
The NFL said it wants to use the social game to promote its advertisers, including its own, but the company is currently in negotiations with the league.
That means advertisers cannot use the NFL’s ad-free service in its ads or on its website.
Discord has been in the news recently, as a group of prominent members of the gaming community have taken to Reddit to complain about the company’s advertising policies and practices.
Discord’s advertising platform is based in the U.K., but the game is also available in Germany, the U, Canada, Brazil, India, Indonesia, and South Africa.
Discords users are able to post ads for products, services, and events, but they can only do so in-game.
Discord has been accused of restricting access to the site to certain groups, but a recent lawsuit against the company alleges that it has violated the First Amendment.
